<p>Infrared radiation cooks  the meat directly. In contrast, most grills use a "convection" type of  cooking that heats the air around the meat and grill to cook the meat  indirectly. With the use of an <a href="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Infrared_grill#Infrared_Grills">Infrared Grill</a>, cooking time is cut in  half and that dried chicken and thin beef is history.</p>
<p>While  infrared technology may scare away those looking for a "deal" on a  grill, the idea that this newer-type of grill (created in the early  1980's) is incredibly expensive is completely false. These grills are  affordable and can be seen as a lifetime investment that is also safer  than the traditional fire-emitting grill.</p>
<h2>Infrared Grill</h2>
<p>These grills heat via  steel burners (grill racks) and ceramic tile, which keeps the heat  uniform and prevents the "up fires" of traditional grills. That means no  more partially burned burgers or side-scorched hot dogs. It also means  that you can trust that you won't be burned by a random flame that  shoots up from the grill, especially when you press down on the meat to  see if the juices run clear.</p>
<h3>Infrared Grill</h3>
<p>The cost of an additional hundred  dollars or so is well worth this type of grill over the traditional  grill where you would have to purchase canister upon canister of propane  gas. Infrared grills, with their cost to benefit ratio, are most  certainly going to be the new traditional <strong>Infrared Grill</strong> at backyard barbecues  everywhere.</p>
